How Many Users Can a Device Store? (SD 1016)
Each Suprema device has a different maximum capacity of users. The BioStar software stores two templates of each fingerprint. How to Enable Server Matching (SD 1018)
Server matching allows for the readers to match and verify against the biometric templates of the central database instead of the devices local memory. In some cases, the device local memory only stores two templates – generally reserved for a back up plan in the event the server is offline. Factory Reset and Firmware Upgrade (SD1026)
The latest firmwares are regularly updated and can be downloaded from http://portal.entertechsystems.com. It is recommended to use the latest firmware. You can perform the steps in this document after downloading the firmware for the specific Suprema reader.
You can create Custom administrative accounts with different privileges in BioStar SE. In the attached example, a new Account is set up with an admin that has all rights for User and Device Tabs.
